Biomolecular mechanisms of action of ultraviolet irradiation of blood (UVOC)
UVOC is a method of exposure of blood to light quanta of the ultraviolet part of the spectrum. The method has been used in medicine for more than 80 years. In 1928, V. Hancock and E. The mechanism of action of irradiated blood on humans is complex and diverse. So far there is no unified theory about the effect of UVI on the human body, however, scientists have proved that under the influence of UVI sharply increases the bactericidal activity of blood and inactivated toxic substances and enzymes through their oxidation. At the second stage in irradiated blood the function of blood cells is activated and they release a large number of nonspecific immunity factors. Under the action of quantum energy on the surface of erythrocytes are formed new surface-active substances that change the electrical charge on the membrane, which provides a decrease in blood viscosity, increasing its oxygen capacity.

In the therapeutic effect of UVOC a certain place belongs to the restructuring of the immune system of the body. Good clinical effect of UVOC application is associated with the improvement of microcirculation by reducing blood viscosity, as well as with the cleaning of blood vessels from fibrin deposits, which causes an increase in the speed of peripheral blood flow and improves tissue oxygen supply.
